A trusted advisor to businesses, advocacy groups, coalitions, and members of Congress, Kate Lynch has nearly two decades of experience securing congressional and executive branch support for clients’ priorities.

Kate worked for three senior members of the New England congressional delegation. She began with Congressman Marty Meehan (D-MA), where she first developed her expertise on energy and environmental issues. When Meehan announced his retirement, she worked on the successful campaign to elect Congresswoman Niki Tsongas (D-MA) in his place, and subsequently staffed Tsongas’s work on the House Natural Resources Committee.

Kate was a top legislative aide for Congressman John Larson (D-CT), a former Chair of the Democratic Caucus and a senior member of the House Ways & Means Committee. Kate oversaw Larson’s efforts on energy, environmental, transportation, small business, and agriculture policies. She managed appropriations requests, drafted legislative text, advised on votes and policy proposals, and led the Congressman’s coordination with the late T. Boone Pickens on the 2010 NATGAS Act.

In 2012, Kate transitioned into government affairs consulting and coalition management at Cascade Associates, where she oversaw congressional outreach, education, and lobbying efforts for clients. Kate served as Director of Government Affairs for the Federal Performance Contracting Coalition (FPCC), representing 14 energy service companies in front of Congress, the General Services Administration, and the U.S. Departments of Defense, Energy, and Veterans Affairs under Democratic and Republican administrations.

Kate holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Communications and International Studies from Virginia Tech. At Virginia Tech, Kate’s passion for policy and humanitarian issues and her communications skills led her to serve as an opinion editor of the school newspaper.

A native of the greater Washington, D.C. area, Kate grew up and now resides in Springfield, Virginia, with her husband and three children.
