Bradley Hayes
Bradley Hayes has been a troubleshooter, a problem solver, and a strategic leader throughout his 20-year career in Washington, D.C. He began as a deputy chief counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, advising then-Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) on immigration, national security, and intellectual property. As Director of Congressional and Public Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he advocated for member companies and established and coordinated external working groups on cybersecurity, intellectual property, and technology, facilitating passage of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 and helping shape multiple pieces of trade legislation.
Bradley has been at the forefront of customs, homeland security, and operations in the first and second Trump administrations, most recently as Assistant Secretary of Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. At the Office of Management and Budget, he was responsible for more than $225 billion in federal programs within the Commerce, Treasury, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, and Justice departments. At U.S. Customs and Border Protection, he was responsible for organizing an annual trade symposium that drew more than 1,000 paid industry attendees per event. He led congressional affairs through the successful fight for supplemental appropriations supporting humanitarian assistance and security along the southwest border. A proud Alabaman, he managed policy strategy as Legislative Director for Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).
Bradley’s broad network, combined with his strong track record for actually getting things done within the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, makes him a knowledgeable and relatable inside player with access to decision-makers at the nexus of strategic planning, implementation, and crisis response. An alumnus of Birmingham-Southern College (with a baccalaureate in business administration) and the University of Alabama School of Law, he lives in Arlington, VA.
